Job Description

Compassionate ABA, Collaborative Culture — Where Clinicians and Clients Thrive

Are you a BCBA who’s passionate about ethical, child-centered care and looking for a workplace that feels good to work in? At PACE’s Faces ABA Program, we believe outstanding care begins with taking care of our team—and we’ve built a workplace that reflects that. With small caseloads, low turnover, and a supportive, highly collaborative team, this is a place where your voice is heard, your values are respected, and your clinical excellence is empowered. As a non-profit clinic-based ABA program serving early intervention and school-age clients, we are committed to assent-based learning, trauma-informed and trauma-assumed care, and naturalistic environment teaching (NET). If you’re looking for meaningful work with a balanced lifestyle, we’d love to meet you.

Clinical Approach - We are committed to care that is:

  • Assent-Based – prioritizing client autonomy, engagement, and joy in learning
  • Trauma-Informed/Assumed – centering safety, connection, and respect in every interaction
  • Naturalistic – embedding learning into meaningful routines and play-based contexts

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct and indirect ABA services in a clinic setting (with occasional home generalization).
  • Supervise RBTs with hands-on mentorship and modeling of ethical, naturalistic practices.
  • Design and oversee assessments, behavior plans, and treatment goals using tools such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, and EFL.
  • Lead team meetings, consult with families, and collaborate with other BCBAs on-site.
  • Maintain accurate documentation through CentralReach and support insurance needs.

Requirements:

  • BCBA certification and a Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience with early intervention, NET, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Passion for affirming, strengths-based ABA and being part of a team that truly cares.
  • Management and Organizational Skills: Must have the ability to develop and implement written treatment directions and collect and interpret numeric data.
  • Driver: Must possess a valid California driver’s license with a good driving record, proof of insurance, access to a vehicle and willing to travel to and from therapy sessions, meetings and the office/clinic up to 20 miles.

What Makes Us Different:

  • Small Caseloads, Big Impact: 90–100 billable hours/month with time built in for planning, collaboration, and reflection.
  • Clinic-Based Model: Say goodbye to extensive travel—services are primarily delivered onsite in a thoughtfully designed, child-friendly environment.
  • Warm, Team-Based Culture: We support each other, celebrate wins, and collaborate often. Staff morale is high and turnover is low.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible schedules with part-time and full-time availability, Monday–Friday between 9 AM and 6 PM.
  • Mission-Driven Non-Profit: We’re here to serve—not sell. Our focus is always on client progress and staff sustainability.

Benefits of working at PACE

  • Small, casual and collaborative work environment with high employee morale
  • Highly respected nonprofit
  • Clients’ sessions are typically scheduled between 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday.
  • Reasonable client load with time to work on administrative tasks (100-110 billable hours/month)
  • Annual stipend for professional development
  • Well-trained staff with high retention rate.
  • Competitive salary and mileage reimbursement
  • Full-time employees are eligible for accrued paid sick and vacation leave as well as medical, dental and vision insurances and 40k(b) match.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or push 60 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders and head, kneel, sit, walk on normal or uneven surfaces and stand.
  • Limited driving required
  • Perform office work
  • Obtain and maintain a clear DOJ/FBI clearance and clear physical health and TB test once offer is accepted.
