The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in CHR Corporate Human Resources division.

The Associate Specialist, Abbott Talent Deployment will serve as technical mobility expert for Abbott’s Professional Development Program global rotations leveraging expertise in the mobility compliance space, including immigration and relocation compliance.

What You’ll Work On

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities, including assignment and transfer administration activities of Abbott’s Professional Development Program global rotations.
  • Support the Frequent Business Traveler program through payroll, tax and immigration compliance with outside tax vendor and payroll team.
  • Manage metrics and dashboard reporting for ATD (consists of general relocation data as well as Frequent Business Travel program)
  • Become and maintain superuser status for ATD’s management system (AssignmentPro). 
  • Manage new reporting requests and document repository with ATD’s system of record (AssignmentPro)
  • Ensure adherence to corporate compliance, legal, and regulatory standards
  • Provides ongoing reports, and cost analysis to assist management decision-making process
  • Ensure operations and processes are both efficient and scalable

Required Qualifications

  • Requires excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • 0-2 years of working experience in a global environment
  • Minimum of an Associate’ degree required.
  • Previous experience and comfortable with interfacing with senior level management
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and other office productivity applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Understanding of Regulatory and Compliance environment related to employees and employee documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Project managed experience or exposure to managing multiple projects using project management methods is highly preferred.
  • Must know how to do Pivot tables and Vlookups in excel
