Job Title: SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator

Location: Longmont, CO

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Pay: $18 - $22 per hour (DOE)

Job Description:

We are currently hiring an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator for a manufacturing company located in Longmont, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and programming SMT machines, specifically MyData, and a strong understanding of the SMT process. The candidate must also be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changes in a fast-paced setting.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate and program SMT machines (MyData experience preferred).
• Perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies.
• Interpret assembly and fabrication prints for the Surface Mount Department.
• Oversee SMT processes, analyze data, and work to reduce scrap levels.
• Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) is a plus.
• Provide engineering support for SMT prototype and production lines.
• Create common setups for SMT jobs to reduce the number of setups and tear-downs.

Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience as an SMT Operator.
• 2-3 years of experience in a production environment, specifically with SMT machines.
• Experience with pick-and-place machines (MyData experience is a plus).
• Ability to program SMT machines is a plus.
• Working knowledge of assembling electronic products with good dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs.
• MUST be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changes quickly.
