Job Description

Our client, a leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join their team. As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be part of the shipping and receiving department supporting efficient material movement. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipper/Receiver

Location: Worcester, MA

Pay Range: $24.00 per hour

Shift: Evenings, Days (14:00-22:30)

What's the Job?

• Perform all functions associated with material movement through the shipping/receiving/packaging department.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, repackaging, distribution, or storage.
• Utilize various packaging equipment and systems to ensure proper support and bracing of equipment for transportation.
• Operate large material moving equipment and vehicles, including forklifts, to manage inventory control.
• Check incoming goods for accuracy against packing slips and maintain electronic receiving files.

What's Needed?

• Ability to prepare incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished goods for distribution.
• Experience with physical material handling and inventory control systems.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
