Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all HR functions across multiple manufacturing and distribution locations. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, foster a positive employee experience, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Experience in managing HR in a multi-site environment, and deep expertise in payroll, compensation, and benefits administration. This role will require you to work in the office 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's overall business goals and growth in the CPG industry.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR-related matters, including organizational design, talent management, and employee relations.
  • Drive a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across all locations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals across various sites.
  • Talent Management & Development:
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding.
  • Implement and manage effective talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in the CPG industry.
  • Develop and implement learning and development programs that enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
  • Design, implement, and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees across all locations.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure compensation and benefits packages remain competitive within the CPG industry.
  • Manage annual open enrollment processes and ensure compliance with all benefit-related regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA).
  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Implement and optimize payroll systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance:
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on complex employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA specific to manufacturing).
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across all sites.
  • HR Operations & Systems:
  • Optimize HR systems (HRIS, ATS, Payroll systems) to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Manage HR budgets effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, ADP).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect HR initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Ability to travel to various company locations as needed.
