WSP is looking for talented individuals to join our team as a Senior Consultant to support the company’s growing Sustainability, Energy and Climate Change division. This position could work out of WSP’s offices in Portland, OR; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; New York, NY; Greensboro, NC; Bethlehem, PA; San Francisco, CA; San Diego, CA; Arlington, VA; Boulder, CO. Other WSP office locations can be arranged for an exceptional candidate. The individual will be involved in projects with our Climate, Resilience and Sustainability Team and be part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Job Description

WSP seeks talented individuals as Senior Consultants to support our Sustainability, Energy, and Climate Change division. This role involves leading client-facing teams in designing, managing, and reporting on sustainability programs, especially focusing on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in the electronics and technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work on diverse projects and collaborate across teams, with a passion for sustainability and climate resilience, self-motivation, and delivering high-quality work.

Your Impact

• Lead electronics LCA projects from inception to completion, including data collection, modeling, impact assessment, and reporting.
• Develop environmental product declarations (EPDs) and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Research ways to reduce environmental impacts throughout product lifecycles.
• Create sustainability reports and develop data management systems.
• Support business development efforts with clients.
• Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental science.
• At least 6 years of experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting in electronics/technology sectors.
• Experience with ISO 14040 and 14044 conformant LCA reports.
• Knowledge of product design, manufacturing, supply chain, and waste reduction principles.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across geographies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in relevant fields.
• Experience with LCA software like SimaPro, GaBi, openLCA, GREET.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and circular economy principles.
