Head of Landscape Architecture Eastern US Job Title: Principal Landscape Architect Location: Miami, FL Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: A studio with a growing presence in the Southeast is seeking a Principal Landscape Architect to help lead and inspire a talented team in Miami. This position is ideal for a creative and strategic thinker who is passionate about shaping resilient, place-based landscapes that respond to the cultural and environmental richness of South Florida. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design vision and execution of diverse landscape architecture projects from concept through construction. Manage client relationships and serve as a key point of contact throughout the life of a project. Guide, mentor, and support team members across all levels to ensure design integrity and professional growth. Collaborate with architects, planners, urban designers, and other consultants to deliver cohesive, interdisciplinary work. Navigate permitting, zoning, and agency review processes in the local and regional context. Participate in business development, thought leadership, and strategic planning to support studio growth. Contribute to office culture, innovation, and design leadership. Qualifications: Accredited degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA). Licensure as a Landscape Architect. A strong portfolio showcasing conceptual strength, technical knowledge, and built work. Skilled in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality results under deadlines.
