LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Policy Consultant in Sacramento. This position is full-time, direct hire, hybrid, salary range $62K - $75K.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises local governance and operational policies and procedures.
• Drafts, edits, and maintains sample policy manuals and related documents.
• Facilitates policy workshops and consults with stakeholders on policy matters.
• Prepares and delivers presentations on complex policy topics.
• Interprets and applies relevant laws, regulations, and legislative updates.
• Responds to policy-related inquiries from internal and external audiences.
• Acts as a spokesperson and provides consultative support on policy issues.
• Supports project management tasks related to policy updates and stakeholder coordination.
• Collaborates with production teams to customize and produce policy manuals.
• Builds and maintains relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• Handles sensitive inquiries and provides resolution support.
• Upholds organizational values and demonstrates professionalism.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education policy, public administration, public policy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in research, policy analysis, or consulting, preferably in education, legislative, or nonprofit environments.
