This nine-week internship offers a hands-on introduction to administrative and operational support within the Security team at NANA Management Services. Interns will work directly with the Security Director and team on day-to-day tasks and special projects that contribute to the success of our security operations.
It's an excellent opportunity for recent high school or trade school graduates to gain real-world experience in corporate security, logistics, and office operations in a professional setting. **Start date:** **Monday June 2, 2025** - **_Interviews_** **_will be conducted on a rolling basis as applications are received._**
**Responsibilities**
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist with processing security guard licenses and onboarding paperwork.
+ Support intake activities such as fingerprinting and ID photo collection.
+ Help maintain accurate training records for security staff.
+ Assist with booking travel and lodging for team members.
+ Support payroll tracking and approval processes, with guidance.
+ Track equipment purchases and helps maintain inventory.
+ Organize and log receipts, invoices, and credit card transactions.
+ Assist with ordering, issuing, and managing uniform supplies.
+ Help coordinate vehicle rentals and purchases as needed.
+ Reserve training venues and assist with event logistics.
+ Support the planning of team morale and recognition events.
+ Occasionally travel to contract sites to assist with admin setup.
+ Provide general administrative support as assigned and needed.
+ Perform additional tasks to support the overall success of the team
**Qualifications**
+ Must be a NANA shareholder or a Descendant of a NANA Shareholder _(NANA shareholders own stock in NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.)._
+ Must be at least 17 years old.
+ Must have completed high school, GED equivalent, or trade school.
+ Must provide two references.
+ Must submit one letter of recommendation.
+ Must be able to commit to the full duration of the internship assignment.
Preferred Requirements
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Well-organized and detail oriented.
+ Solid administrative abilities.
+ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
**Weather:** Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.
**Noise level:** The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
**Description of environment:** Office building with standard office environment.
**Physical requirements:** Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
**Travel:** Up to 5% of the time.Employees may travel throughout Alaska and/or to remote locations and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes, and ATVs. Travel to and from the worksite will be provided and arranged by NANA.
