What To Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start August/September 2025 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e. through December 2025/January 2026) or into Winter/Spring 2026 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About The Team
Join our team as an Application Engineering Intern, where you will play a pivotal role in the developing cybersecurity and networking applications for Megapack, Powerpack, and Industrial Batteries. In this dynamic position, you'll lead a variety of cross-functional projects, focusing on research, proof of concept, design, testing and validation of network and cybersecurity features. What You'll Do Enhancing testing capabilities for network and cybersecurity features by building new test beds or expanding existing infrastructureSupport gathering information for cybersecurity compliance initiatives and auditsEvaluate design options and product configurations via lab/onsite testingDevelop scripts to automate recurring test scenarios
What You'll Bring Pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, or related fieldFamiliar with cybersecurity of industrial control systems and relevant Energy industry standards such as IEC 62443, and NERC-CIPFamiliar with Energy systems including devices such as meters, inverters, SCADA controllers, and network systemsHands-on experience in lab testing network & cybersecurity features is desiredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a teamSkilled with automation and programming languages like Python, C, C++, RUST, GO etc.

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
