GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

JOB TITLE: Field Service Technician

DEPARTMENT/UNIT/DIVISION: Technical Services / Hospital Division

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Healthcare Division Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

JOB NATURE Perform high-level technical work involving installations, repairs, and maintenance of ultrasound and PCS equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Carry out the installation of ultrasound and PCS equipment sold by the company.
  2. Calibrate and certify equipment as necessary and in accordance with each supplier's specifications.
  3. Diagnose equipment and repair them according to manufacturer standards.
  4. Perform maintenance and service tasks on assigned equipment.
  5. Communicate with the client before providing service to evaluate if the problem can be solved remotely or if a visit is necessary.
  6. Keep inventory of assigned parts and tools updated to carry out services.
  7. Prepare a daily report on diagnostics and services performed.
  8. Complete the Service Sheet in all its parts, including but not limited to, service provided, parts used, among others.
  9. Deliver the Service Sheet to the client via email before leaving the service location.
  10. Assist in repairs and certifications of equipment received in the workshop.
  11. Support colleagues in repairs and/or installations of equipment as needed.
  12. Cover assigned on-call periods.
  13. Fully and consistently comply with department and company policies and procedures as currently published or promulgated in the future, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook and Technical Services Procedures Manual.
  14. Actively contribute to maintaining the company's mission and achieving its vision; exemplify the efficiency culture philosophy, Bionuclear values, and principles of high-quality internal and external customer service through performance and conduct.

INCIDENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Complete a requisition indicating the necessary parts and tools for service. Dispatch them if necessary.
  2. Keep the repair workshop area organized.
  3. Stay informed about changes and updates to all equipment distributed by the company.
  4. Attend meetings, training activities, professional development, and training sessions as required.
  5. Other tasks as necessary.

ACADEMIC PREPARATION

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or
  2. Associate degree in biomedical equipment repair or equivalent.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position, or
  2. Minimum of one year of experience as a Base Technician.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid driver's license and passport.

JOB COMPETENCIES KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND APTITUDES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION Extensive proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Windows applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish, basic understanding and mostly reading proficiency in English
  • Ability to relate to people at all hierarchical levels

  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, irregular hours, and overtime
