Base pay range $53,764.00/yr - $85,138.00/yr Job Responsibilities Join our team to support food and agricultural business development programs in Brooklyn. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, formulating economic development solutions for food producers, processors, agri-businesses, buyers, and customers. You will also administer food and agricultural product marketing and promotional programs, including business development, food and nutrition, and marketing initiatives. Position Details This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Minimum Qualifications NY HELPS Qualifications: a bachelor’s degree or higher. Advanced Placement For Trainee 2: Bachelor’s plus one year of relevant experience, or a higher degree in a related field can substitute for experience, reducing traineeship time by one year. Full Performance Level Bachelor’s plus two years of relevant experience, or a higher degree can substitute for one year of experience. Additional Qualifications Transfer qualifications under Civil Service Law, or reinstatement options for former employees, or qualifications under the 55-b/c programs. Program Details This title is part of the NY HELPS program, allowing non-competitive appointment initially, with potential conversion to permanent status within a year. Salary and Benefits The starting salary for Trainee 1 is $53,764, progressing to SG-16 and SG-18 levels upon traineeship completion, with a maximum of $85,138.
