Job Description

The City of College Park seeks a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a full-time Economic Development Coordinator. Responsibilities In this key role, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Economic Development and assist with creating and supporting initiatives to attract and maintain investments, businesses, and jobs within the city. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, exceptional customer service, and clear, professional communication skills. The Economic Development Coordinator's responsibilities will include: Support, develop, and maintain strategies to promote and attract business development with the City of College Park. Provide responsive, confidential, and professional customer service to local businesses and other partners to foster a collaborative relationship. Create, maintain, and update the database related to the City's Revitalization Tax Credit Program and other related grants. Assist in planning events, briefings, and roundtables to educate businesses and other stakeholders within the city. Monitor and track department expenses and provide administrative support to the director. The Selected Candidate Must Have A bachelor's degree in a related field. 2 years of administrative experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent spelling, grammar, and customer service skills. Although not required, preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and have experience working in a municipal government environment. The starting hourly range is $34.90 - $36.67, depending on qualifications.
