This leadership role will focus on engaging new and existing Richmond area clients, leveraging our local and national engineering capabilities, and driving growth of commercial and economic development practices while providing high quality technical products and services delivered with excellent client service. Responsibilities As a member of the Dewberry team, you will contribute to our mission by: Developing client and pursuit plans aimed at growth of our commercial and economic development teams and consistent with our national strategy. Engaging new and existing clients to position Dewberry for growth opportunities leveraging our national portfolio of experience and expertise. Making recommendations on opportunities to pursue and leading an effective go/no-go decision process. Managing local and geographically dispersed teams of engineers to position, win, and deliver top quality engineering products with excellent client service. Participating in development of growth strategies and sales goals; drive achievement of sales targets consistent with growth expectations for the Richmond office’s commercial and economic development team. Aligning our national strategies with local business development activities. Elevating Dewberry’s brand by maintaining high visibility and actively participating in professional and industry organizations. Drive proactive, client focused business development approaches based on building long-term relationships with priority commercial and economic development clients. Support national commercial and economic development segment initiatives, activities, and promotions aimed at growth of Dewberry’s business. Assembling and leading client and project teams in support of client needs and growth of the practice. Overseeing proposal and client interview efforts and marketing support teams. Developing partnerships with subconsultants and other service providers to assemble winning proposal teams. Negotiating appropriate scope and fee to deliver projects meeting client expectations for quality and schedule. Developing win themes, technical approaches, and project teams that differentiate Dewberry based on project requirements, client understanding, and positioning efforts. Exemplify Dewberry’s culture of honesty, integrity, teamwork and contribution. Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. 10+ years of related experience. Proven consultant track record of successful client management within the commercial and economic development industries, including growth of a portfolio of related services. History of overseeing successful delivery of large-scale projects as a project manager, client manager, or technical lead. Strong interpersonal, organization, leadership, and management capabilities. Strong Virginia client relationships within the commercial and economic development sectors.
